League position: 11th Manuel Lanzini had now scored eight goals in 12 London derbies in the Premier League, compared to four goals in 38 games against teams from outside of London. West Ham United had now kept only one clean sheet in their last ten Premier League games. The Hammers now had ten fewer points than at the same stage in the previous season (played 27) when they were in 6th position. West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic said: "If you want to beat Chelsea, then you can’t make those kind of mistakes. You have very little chance if you do."
