League position: 17th Manager Tony Pulis was sacked two days after this game. West Bromwich Albion had now gone ten Premier League games without a win and won only two of their last 21 games in the Premier League (lost 13). The Baggies conceded three goals in the first-half of a Premier League game for the first time since August 2015 (also against Chelsea). This equalled manager Tony Pulis’ heaviest home defeat in the Premier League (also versus Manchester City in October 2016 and Chelsea in January 2013). West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis said: "It leaves me in the position I was in before the game. The board of directors will decide what they have to do. I have been in this position before. It’s up to them. I spoke to the owners yesterday. They are really decent people. It’s not about them, it’s about what’s best for the football club. That is more important than anybody. It’s a decision they have to make. I’ll keep ploughing along if they want me to."

League position: 3rd Chelsea had now won ten of their last 12 away games in the Premier League (lost two). They scored four goals in an away game in the Premier League for only the second time since April 2016. This was manager Antonio Conte's 50th Premier League game in charge of the Blues. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said: “Four wins in a row is good for our confidence, we started the season with many problems but we are slowly starting to find the right solution. I’m very happy with the commitment of my players. We have to continue in this way and show this solidity and create many chances to score. It was another clean sheet for us and it’s important to find the right balance when you have the ball and when you are without it. Slowly we are changing something from last season.”
