Comments:

League position: 8th West Bromwich Albion had now gone seven games without a win in the Premier League; their longest such run since May 2016. The Baggies equalled their club record of failing to score in four consecutive home games in the Premier League (also November 2004 to January 2005). Albion had now scored in only two of their last ten games in the Premier League. West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis said: "We just wanted to make a tough night. We didn't want them coming into town and rolling us over, that would have been a travesty. The players worked very hard, and we're disappointed. When you're playing the best team in the land, and they are, they've proved that over the season, you don't need them getting that little slice of luck. But full credit to the players. We've given them a game. I'm pleased."

League position: 1st This match confirmed Chelsea as champions of this Premier League season. It was their sixth top division title and fifth in the Premier League. Only Manchester United had now won more Premier League titles (13). Antonio Conte became the fourth manager to win the Premier League title in his first season in England; also José Mourinho in 2004-05, Carlo Ancelotti in 2009-10 and Manuel Pellegrini in 2013-14. He had now also won the league title in four successive seasons as a club manager after winning the Serie A title with Juventus in 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14. The Blues became the first club to win the top division title on a Friday since Arsenal at Liverpool in 1988-89 in League Division One. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte said: "It's amazing. I want to say thanks to my players, my staff, the club, who always support me. Now it's important to rest and we want to try to win also the FA Cup and for this great season to become a fantastic season. I'm living great emotion at this moment."
