Comments:

League position: 19th Watford had now won consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since February 2019. On his 27th birthday, Abdoulaye Doucouré became the first player born on 1 January to score in the top division on New Year's Day since Danny Wilson for Luton Town at Everton in 1990 in League Division One. Since the start of the previous season, no player had now been shown more red cards in the Premier League than Christian Kabasele (three, along with SON Heung-Min of Tottenham Hotspur). Christian Kabasele was sent-off following a VAR review.

Comments:

League position: 7th Wolverhampton Wanderers had now conceded the first goal in more games so far in this Premier League season than any other team (14). They went on to win two and lose five of those games. They had now lost three of their last five games in the Premier League; as many as they had lost in their preceding 21 games in the division. At 19 years and 298 days, Pedro become the first-ever teenager to score in a game in the Premier League for Wolves.
