Comments:

League position: 8th Until 11 January 2016 when the Premier League's Goal Accredition Panel ruled out his claim to a goal in the game against Chelsea on 26 December 2015, it was reported that Odion Ighalo had now scored more league goals in 2015 than any other player in England's top four divisions (30). In subsequent error, it was also reported that he had now scored in six consecutive Premier League games. However, Odion had now scored seven goals in his last eight Premier League appearances at Vicarage Road. This was the first time that Watford had ended a calendar year with a league defeat since 2007.

Comments:

League position: 3rd Tottenham Hotspur were now unbeaten in eight away games in the Premier League for the first time since between August and December in 1995. Spurs had now lost only one of their last 18 Premier League games (won nine). Their goal difference of +18 was currently the best in this season's Premier League.
