League position: 9th Watford became the first team to be shown a red card in three consecutive Premier League games since West Ham United in August 2015. The Hornets were now without a win in their last five games in the Premier League (lost four). This was their first defeat in their last eight Premier League games against promoted teams at Vicarage Road (won three).

League position: 11th This was the first time that Huddersfield Town had scored four goals in an away game in the top division since a 4-6 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers in League Division One on 12 February 1955. Prior to this game, Town had equalled a club record of seven consecutive away league games without scoring a goal since they won 3-0 at Crystal Palace on the opening day of the season. The Terriers had lost five and won only one of their preceding six games in the Premier League.
