Comments:

League position: 11th This was new manager Javi Gracia's first game at Vicarage Road in charge. He became the first Watford manager to win his first home game in the Premier League. This became the Hornets' biggest-ever win in the Premier League. The previous best was 4-2 versus Portsmouth at Vicarage Road on 9 April 2007 and at West Ham United on 10 September 2016. Gerard Deulofeu became the 15th different player to score for Watford in this Premier League season; only Arsenal had more (16).

Comments:

League position: 4th Chelsea conceded four goals in a Premier League game for the first time since a 5-3 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on New Year’s Day 2015. They had now lost consecutive Premier League games by a three-goal margin for the first time since October 1995 (4-1 versus Manchester United and 3-0 versus Blackburn Rovers). This was the first time that the Blues had conceded four goals in a game in the Premier League against a team outside of the top six since a 4-2 loss at Charlton Athletic on Boxing Day in 2003. Of all the clubs in the top four divisions, only Grimsby Town (eight) had now been shown more red cards in all competitions so far in this season than Chelsea (seven).
