Comments:

League position: 20th Following the sacking of Javi Gracia, this was manager Quique Sánchez Flores' first game in this second spell in charge of Watford. They won 16 and lost 19 in his first stint of 44 games from June 2015 to May 2016. The Hornets avoided equalling their club record of five consecutive home defeats in the top division. In his 200th appearance in the Premier League, Tom Cleverley scored his first goal at Vicarage Road since he scored the winning goal against Arsenal on 14 October 2017.

Comments:

League position: 7th This was the first time that Arsenal failed to win a game in the Premier League when they led by at least two goals since 9 April 2016 in a 3-3 draw at West Ham United. Since the start of the previous season, only Brighton and Hove Albion had now conceded as many goals from penalties in the Premier League than the Gunners (ten each). Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang became the first player to score five goals for Arsenal in the first five games of a Premier League season since José Antonio Reyes in 2004-05.
