Comments:

Although many sources credited Joe Cole with Chelsea's first goal, UEFA initially decided that it should be regarded as an own goal. Their official web site stated: "Chelsea draw level with a well-worked goal. Florent Malouda played a neat one-two with Didier Drogba down the left before crossing low, dangerously across the face of goal where Emiliano Moretti could only put the ball in his own net under pressure from Joe Cole." However, their subsequent reports and stats were amended to credit Cole with the goal: "David Villa gave the Spanish side an early advantage but a Joe Cole goal and a Didier Drogba strike gave a real boost to the new Stamford Bridge regime." Input amendment [24.10.2015] - Scorer of Chelsea's first goal changed from an own goal by Emiliano Moretti to Joe Cole.
