This was Spurs’ 350th win in the Premier League and they also conceded their 500th home goal. This was Spurs' first win in seven competitive matches. Andros Townsend's goal was reported as the 700th scored in the Premier League in 2014-15.

League position: 9th Swansea City are yet to win an away league game against Spurs. The Swans’ only win at White Hart Lane was a 3-1 win in a League Cup meeting on 6 September 1978. Following the opening goal and before the restart, Bafetimbi Gomis collapsed on the pitch. Medical attention was given and after about five minutes he was stretchered off the pitch and replaced by Nelson Oliveira. He has collapsed several times in the past.
