Due to several positive cases of COVID-19 being identified among the players and staff at Tottenham Hotspur, this tie was not played and referred to the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body.
The chairman of the UEFA Appeals Body declared that Spurs had forfeited the game. A 3-0 win was awarded to Rennes in accordance with Annex J.3.1 to the Regulations of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
