Comments:

League position: 5th This was Tottenham Hotspur's first defeat in the Premier League since their opening day loss at Manchester United. Spurs' 14-game unbeaten run had been their best in the top division since March 1985. Had they avoided defeat in this game, it would have been the first time they had gone 15 games unbeaten in the league since a 19-game run in their last promotion season (December 1977 and March 1978 in the Second Division).

Comments:

League position: 15th This was the first time that Newcastle United had won two games in a row since November 2014. This was their second win in their last 15 Premier League away games (lost 11). This was the first time United had come from behind to win an away match in the Premier League since their last visit to Tottenham Hotspur on 26 October 2014.
