Comments:

Only Adam Morgan (then of Curzon Ashton, now at FC Halifax Town) had now scored as many goals in the proper rounds of this season’s FA Cup as Son Heung-Min (six each). Ex-Millwall loanee Harry Kane also scored a hat-trick in the previous round at Fulham. That was Tottenham Hotspur's first hat-trick in the FA Cup since Jermain Defoe in a 4th round replay at Leeds United on 3 February 2010. This was Spurs' biggest win in the FA Cup since a 6-0 win at Margate in the 3rd round on 13 January 1973.

Comments:

League One Millwall failed in their attempt to become the first lower division team to knock four top division teams out of the FA Cup in the same season (finals excluded). This was the Lions' first defeat in their last 18 league and cup games, their best such run since 1965. They had kept clean sheets in four of their five previous games in this season's FA Cup run.
