Comments:

League position: 8th Tottenham Hotspur's only previous league game played in June was against Barnsley at White Hart Lane in League Division Two on 7 June 1947 when Ronnie Dix scored their goal in a 1-1 draw. They remained without a win in their last seven games in all competitions (lost five). Steven Bergwijn became the second player to score in each of his first three home games in the Premier League for Spurs after Rafael van der Vaart in 2010-11.

Comments:

League position: 5th Manchester United's only previous competitive games played in June were the second leg and replay of their Fairs Cup semi-final against Ferencváros in 1965. They lost both games (0-1 and 1-2, respectively) that were both played in Budapest. United remained unbeaten in their last 12 games in all competitions (won eight). After Liverpool, the Red Devils became the second team to score a goal in the Premier League at all of the 59 stadiums that had staged games in the competition. Manchester United had now drawn 500 away games in the top division. United were awarded a penalty in the 90th minute but the decision was reversed after a VAR review as a foul had not been committed.
