Comments:

League position: 17th Francesco Guidolin was appointed head coach earlier in the day and watched this game from the stands, so interim manager Alan Curtis took charge of this game. This was only Swansea City's second win in their last 12 Premier League games (lost seven). Despite this win, the Swans now had eight fewer points after 22 games in this season (22 points) than they had in 2014-15.

Comments:

League position: 12th Watford had now lost four consecutive league games for the first time since November 2014 in the League Championship. The Hornets had now failed to score in their last two games after scoring in each of the preceding 12 league and cup outings.
