This result equalled the club record for their biggest-ever win in the FA Cup. They also beat Caerleon Athletic 8-1 at the Vetch Field on 11 October 1913 in a 1st qualifying round tie. It was their second game in the competition. This victory did create a new a club record for the biggest winning margin in the proper rounds of the FA Cup. The previous record had stood since 1966-67 when the Swans beat Folkestone 7-2 in a 1st round replay at the Vetch Field on 29 November 1966.
