League position: 8th Swansea City had now won just one of their ten league meetings with Manchester City since 1983 (eight defeats). That victory was in their first meeting at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League in March 2012. Defeat ended the Swans' run of three wins in a row in the Premier League. They are yet to win four successive Premier League games in the same season. Bafetimbi Gomis had now scored five goals in his last five league appearances. Swansea City had now scored 300 all-time top flight goals.
