Comments:

League position: 10th This was Swansea City's first Premier League defeat in the month of August since 2013 (won six and drawn two). The Swans were unbeaten in five Premier League home matches since losing to Southampton on 13 February (won four). New American owners Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan attended a game at Liberty Stadium for the first time since completing their takeover in July 2016.

Comments:

League position: 3rd Hull City became the second promoted side in Premier League history to win their opening two matches of a season. Bolton Wanderers in 2001-02 were the first. The last time the Tigers won their opening two games of any season was in 2004-05 in the third tier. With only 13 fit senior players to chose from, Shaun Maloney's substitution was the only substitution that caretaker manager Mike Phelan had made in his two games in charge so far. Abel Hernandez scored in the second minute of added time in the second half.
