Comments:

League position: 18th Swansea City had now kept one clean sheet in their six games at the Liberty Stadium so far in this Premier League season. This was the first time that the Swans had now lost five of their first six home games in a league season. They had now lost two home games against newly-promoted teams in a Premier League season for the first time. Swansea City manager Paul Clement said: "My summary of that is if we play at that level and that standard, you cannot be expected to win a game. At the moment we are in a really bad moment. A really bad moment. Together, with me in front, we have to find a way to get a victory. We might have to grind a result out somewhere. We might have to win ugly to stop this vicious circle of poor performance, bad results, poor performance, bad result."

Comments:

League position: 8th After failing to score in their first three games in the Premier League, Brighton and Hove Albion had now scored in seven of their last eight games in the competition. The Seagulls had now won consecutive away games in the top division for only the second time in their history (also at Crystal Palace and Sunderland in April 1981). Glenn Murray had now scored in three consecutive Premier League games for the first time since 11 April 2015. Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton said: "We're in quite a nice rhythm at the moment and sometimes that carries you through to the next game. There's no better feeling than winning games and we weren't sure how the season was going to unfold. All we knew it was going to be a very difficult season with the quality we'd be up against. Eighth has surpassed our expectation, most newly promoted teams would say the same, but we've got to be guarded against any type of complacency."
