Comments:

Following Lincoln City's victory a day earlier, for the first time since the present format was introduced in 1925, two non-league clubs had now reached the 5th round of the FA Cup in the same season. This was the third time that Sutton United had appeared in the 4th round. They lost 0-6 to Leeds United in 1970 and 0-8 at Norwich City in 1989.

Comments:

This was the second time that Leeds United had lost to non-league opponents in the FA Cup (also Histon in November 2008).
