Comments:

League position: 12th Stoke City had now won one of their last eight games in the Premier League (lost five). The Potters had now failed to score in five of their last eight games in the Premier League. City could now not match their points tally of 51 in the 2015-16 Premier League season. Stoke City manager Mark Hughes said: "Sometimes you have to acknowledge the job that the opposition has done. We just needed that one moment to convert a chance and open the game up, but credit to West Ham. It's a season that has, at times, frustrated us and we've still got games to go and are trying to get a fourth top-10 finish, which this club hasn't done in the past."

League position: 15th West Ham United had now been involved in consecutive goalless drawn games in the Premier League for the first time since 20 December 2015. The Hammers had now only won one of their last 11 games in the Premier League matches but were unbeaten in their last four. They ended a run of 13 away games in the Premier League without keeping a clean sheet. West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic said: "We defended as a team and limited them to a couple of chances. The clean sheet is giving the defenders a big dose of self-confidence, but we created more than enough chances to score a goal. But let's be positive, it's a good point for us and we are going to approach the remainder of the season in a positive way."
