Comments:

League position: 19th Stoke City were now without a win in their last 11 games in the Premier League (lost five); the longest current such run in the division. The Potters avoided losing four consecutive home games in the top division for the first time since May 1985. Badou Ndiaye became the fourth Senegalese player to score for City in the Premier League (also Mame Biram Diouf, Saif Diao and Amdy Faye); only Newcastle United had more (six).

Comments:

League position: 7th Burnley failed in their attempt to win four consecutive away games in the top division for the first time since September 1961. Since the start of the 2016-17 season, the Clarets remained unbeaten in all nine of their Premier League games played against a team starting the day in the relegation zone (won four). Since 24 February 2018, only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (nine) had now scored more goals in the Premier League than Ashley Barnes (six).
