Comments:

League position: 18th Xherdan Shaqiri had now scored in consecutive appearances in the Premier League for the first time in his career. Charlie Adam's 90th minute penalty was saved so the Potters had now failed to convert their last three penalties in the Premier League, with each taken by a different player (also Saido Berahino and Marko Arnautovic). City had won seven of their preceding nine home Premier League games against newly promoted teams (lost two).

Comments:

League position: 13th Brighton and Hove Albion were now unbeaten in three consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since 20 November 2017. The Seagulls also scored in consecutive Premier League away games for the first time since November 2017, after a run of six games without a goal in away league games. Albion were now without a win in their last eight away games in the Premier League since 4 November 2017 at Swansea City.
