Comments:

League position: 13th Stoke City had now won one of their last ten games in the Premier League (lost six). With this being their final game at the bet365 Stadium of 2016-17, the Potters conceded 24 goals at home in this season; their joint-highest in a single Premier League campaign (also 2015-16). City conceded four goals in a home game in the Premier League for the first time since Tottenham Hotspur's 4-0 win on 10 September 2016. Stoke City manager Mark Hughes said: "We are disappointed as it is always our aim to finish in the top half. This is the first time we have missed out. We go against Southampton next week to get points on the board. In the summer we will assess things and maybe change things around."

Comments:

League position: 5th Arsenal had now scored four or more goals in five away league games in a season for the first time since 1936-37 in League Division One. Alexis Sánchez became the eighth player to score 50 goals for the Gunners in the Premier League (101 games). Only Thierry Henry (83) and Ian Wright (87) reach the 50-goal mark in fewer appearances. Petr Čech became the sixth goalkeeper to make 400 appearances in the Premier League. Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said: "We had a difficult week but we have won convincingly so the focus is there, the fighting spirit is there and we're pleased to win. I believe when the team plays well we have the right individual talent to win. When they scored the 'hand-goal' they came back but when you go to places like Stoke you need at some stage to suffer and stick together and that is what we did."
