League position: 7th Watford had now won two of their last eight games in the Premier League; both in their last four games. Their total of 20 points after 12 games was now their highest-ever at this stage of a top division season. The Hornets had now failed to score in ten of their last 14 away games in the Premier League. Ben Foster made his 300th Premier League appearance.
