Comments:

League position: 3rd Southampton's biggest-ever win is a 9-3 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the old Second Division on 18 September 1965. The Premier League’s Goal Accreditation Panel ruled on the following: - Southampton’s fourth goal against Sunderland on 18th October 2014 has been confirmed as a Liam Bridcutt own goal. - Southampton’s eighth goal against Sunderland on 18th October 2014 was in fact an own goal (Patrick Van Aanholt) and has therefore not been credited to Sadio Mane. [Circular 7 – 23rd October 2014]
