The Saints had now won eight of their last nine league matches against the Tigers, including the last six. Graziano Pelle broke his run of 14 Premier League appearances without scoring a goal, a drought that lasted 1,245 minutes. He had now scored eight of his nine Premier League goals at home. Their succesful spot-kick in this game meant that Southampton were now the only club not to have a penalty scored against them in the Premier League in this season. Jose Fonte made his 200th league appearance for the Saints. The Premier League’s Goal Accreditation Panel ruled on the following: - Southampton’s second goal against Hull City on Saturday 11th April 2015 has been confirmed as a Graziano Pelle goal. The previous record holder was Eddie Burbanks who was aged 40 years and 15 days when he made his final appearance for the Tigers against Leicester City on 16 April 1953. Hull City’s only win at Southampton in last 14 attempts now was a 3-2 win on 17 February 1951. The aforementioned Eddie Burbanks was in the Tigers' line-up. City had now won only one of their last 15 away Premier League games (six draws and eight defeats).
