The Saints had now kept only two clean sheets at home so far in this Premier League season against Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion who now filled the bottom two positions. Shane Long scored for the first time in his last 37 games for club and country since scoring for Southampton in their 4-0 win at Sunderland on 11 February 2017.
