League position: 16th Southampton failed in their attempt to win consecutive games in the Premier League for the second time since December 2020. Tino Livramento (18 years and 346 days) became the fourth player aged 18 or younger to score a goal in the Premier League for the Saints after Dexter Blackstock, Sam Gallagher and Michael Obafemi. They had now taken eight points from their nine games so far in this Premier League season; nine points fewer than at the same stage of the previous season.
