League position: 11th Southampton scored four or more goals in a home game in the Premier League for the first time since a 4-1 win against Everton on 26 November 2017. The Saints had now scored four goals in the opening five minutes of their games so far in this Premier League season; more than any other team in the division. They had now won the first league game of a year in three consecutive seasons for the second time; also from 1969 to 1971 in League Division One.
