Comments:

League position: 10th Southampton were now without a win in five consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since December 2015. With three games to play, they were aiming to finish in the top ten in the top division for a fourth consecutive season for the first time in their history. The Saints had now scored 11 goals in their last 13 homes games in the Premier League and failed to score in four of their last five games in the Premier League. Southampton manager Claude Puel said: "It's often the same against the big six. We cannot find a win. Every time we play good quality football with chances but without the clinical edge and it's harsh on the players."

Comments:

League position: 5th Arsenal had lost five of their preceding six away games in the Premier League. Alexis Sánchez had now scored 20 goals in a league season for the first time in his career. He became the first player to score 20 goals in a Premier League season for the Gunners since Robin van Persie in 2011-12. Olivier Giroud had now scored at least ten goals in the Premier League in each of his five seasons with Arsenal. Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said: "We have another clean sheet and I know we can go forward and score goals. The whole team was dynamic, focused and showed a convincing desire to win the game."
