Kick-off: 6.00pm local (5.00pm BST) On 6 July 2016 (i.e the day before the 2nd leg of this tie was due to be played), the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upheld the decision of the UEFA Appeals Body to declare KF Skenderbeu (the Albanian title winners) ineligible for the 2016-17 UEFA Champions League. The UEFA Emergency Panel therefore ordered that they would be replaced in the Champions League by Partizani Tirana, the runners-up in the 2015-16 Albanian league. From the options available, Partizani and Slovan Bratislava agreed that the 2nd leg of this tie should be cancelled. With Partizani now competing in the UEFA Champions League, Slovan proceeded to the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.
