Comments:

League position: 18th Norwich City were now in their highest position in the Premier League since a 2-0 win at Everton on 23 November 2019 (also 18th). The Canaries scored more goals in the opening 18 minutes of this game than they had done in their preceding eight games in the Premier League. This is the first time in their last 30 home games in the Premier League that City had a lead of two or more goals at half time since the visit of Watford on 11 May 2016 (won 4-2).

Comments:

League position: 15th After 200 days in charge, manager Rafael Benítez was sacked the following day. Everton took 19 points from his 19 game reign in the Premier League but lost nine of the last 12 games in the division (won one). This was the Toffees' first defeat in an away game in the Premier League against a team starting the day at the bottom of the table since 1 May 2004 at Wolverhampton Wanderers. They had now lost to all three promoted teams in this Premier League season (Brentford, Norwich City and Watford).
