Comments:

League position: 16th Since the start of the previous season, a total of 164 goals had now been scored in Norwich City's league games (99 for and 65 against); more than any other team in the top four divisions. The Canaries failed in their attempt to win their first two home games in a top division season for the third time (previously 1988-89 and 1979-80 in League Division One). Teemu Pukki became the tenth player to score in each of his first three appearances in the Premier League.

Comments:

League position: 12th This became the first game that two English players aged 21 or under had scored in the Premier League for Chelsea since 22 August 1992 (Eddie Newton and Graham Stuart against Sheffield Wednesday). At 21 years and 326 days, Tammy Abraham became the third youngest player to score two goals in a game in the Premier League for the Blues (Mark Nicholls in January 1998 against Coventry City aged 20 years and 225 days and Eddie Newton in December 1992 against Tottenham Hotspur aged 20 years and 358 days). Willian became the second Brazilian player to make 200 appearances in the Premier League after Lucas Leiva of Liverpool (247 games). Pedro was originally named in the starting line-up before suffering a hamstring injury in the pre-match warm-up. Ross Barkley was promoted to the starting XI so Chelsea named only six of a possible seven substitutes.
