Comments:

League position: 18th This was Norwich City's biggest home defeat in the Premier League since 14 April 2012 (1-6 versus Manchester City). This was the first time that the Canaries had lost a home game in the Premier League against a newly-promoted team since Nottingham Forest on 12 April 1995 (won eight, drawn four). By saving Wesley's 38th minute penalty, Michael McGovern became the seventh goalkeeper to save a penalty on their first start in the Premier League, and the first since Neil Etheridge for Cardiff City against AFC Bournemouth on 11 August 2018.

Comments:

League position: 14th This was the first time that Aston Villa had scored five or more goals in an away game in the Premier League since 12 April 2008 in a 6-0 win at Derby County. Villa scored three or goals in an away game in the Premier League for the first time since a 4-0 win at Sunderland on 14 March 2015. They had lost all of their ten preceding away games in the Premier League to equal their club record for consecutive away defeats in the top division (from 1924 to 1925 in League Division One).
