League position: 15th Burnley failed in their attempt to complete a run of nine consecutive games in the top division without defeat for the first time since 1966. This was the first time that the Clarets had not lost a game in the Premier League with Tom Heaton in goal since 19 August 2017 against West Bromwich Albion. Despite this defeat, only Manchester United (12) had now taken more points from their away games in the Premier League in 2019 than Burnley (eight).
