Comments:

League position: 15th Middlesbrough failed in their attempt to win consecutive home games in the Premier League for the first time since August 2008. They had now conceded only two goals in their last four Premier League games.

Comments:

League position: 1st Chelsea were now top-of-the-table at the end of a completed round of Premier League games for the first time since they were crowned champions in May 2015. The Blues had now won six consecutive games without conceding a goal for the fifth time in the Premier League. They selected the same starting line-up for a fifth time in a row for the first time in the Premier League era. Diego Costa became the first player to score ten goals in this Premier League season.
