Comments:

League position: 5th Manchester United had now drawn 0-0 at home eight times in the Premier League since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure in May 2013. There were no goalless draws at home in the four previous years. United have now drawn eight home league games in a season for the first time since 1980-81 in League Division One. The Red Devils were now unbeaten in their last 19 Premier League games since 23 October 2016. Marouane Fellaini was booked in the fifth minute of added time in the second-half. Wayne Rooney was booked in the fifth minute of added time in the second-half. Manchester United manager José Mourinho said: "We have a lot of draws this season. Teams come here just to defend. Goalkeepers come here to be man of the match. We cannot score a goal even when we are one on one. We beat everyone on quality of play and direction of the game, possession, creation and ambition, but we drew too many matches."

Comments:

League position: 8th West Bromwich Albion had now lost two of their last nine Premier League games. The Baggies became the third team to keep a clean sheet against Manchester United at Old Trafford so far in this season in all competitions (also Burnley and Hull City). James Morrison became the fourth Scottish player to make 300 apperances in the Premier League after Darren Fletcher, Paul Telfer and Gary McAllister. Claudio Yacob was booked in the fifth minute of added time in the second-half. West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis said: "If we won at the end, it would have been unjust. We are really pleased with the effort and commitment they put in today, United have some really good players. No matter how well set up you are, you will always be on your back foot."
