League position: 5th Manchester United had now scored four or more goals in consecutive home games in the Premier League for the first time since September 2017. United had now kept clean sheets in two of their last three games in the Premier League; as many as in their preceding 30 games in the division. 22 year-old Marcus Rashford made his 200th appearance for the Red Devils in all competitions in this game (64 goals). He also became the 14th player to score 40 or more goals for them in the Premier League. Luke Shaw was originally named amongst the substitutes before suffering an injury in the pre-match warm-up. Tahith Chong took his place on the bench.

Comments:

League position: 20th Norwich City were now without a win in their last nine games in the Premier League (lost five). It now became manager Daniel Farke's longeest run without a league win since he was in charge of SV Lippstadt in Germany's fourth tier in May 2014 (also nine games). The Canaries had now conceded 45 goals so far in this Premier League season; six more goals than any other team. This was the second time that City had conceded more than two goals in an away game so far in this Premier League season; also 4-1 at Liverpool on the opening day of the season.
