League position: 3rd Manchester United scored six or more goals in a game in the Premier League for the first time since their 8-2 win against Arsenal on 28 August 2011. United avoided failing to score more than one goal in a game in eight consecutive home league games in the top dvision for the first time since April 1920 in League Division One. Scott McTominay became the first-ever player to score two goals in the first three minutes of a game in the Premier League; the previous quickest was four minutes by Ryan Giggs for Manchester United on 18 November 1995 and Duncan Ferguson for Newcastle United on 16 January 2000, both against Southampton. Having used their three substitutes, Manchester United played with ten men in added time at the end of the game when Scott McTominay was withdrawn due to injury.
