Comments:

League position: 6th Only in 2004-05 (18) did Manchester United have fewer points from their opening 12 Premier League games than so far in this season (19). The Red Devils had now drawn three league games in a row at Old Trafford for the first time since April 1992. United boss Jose Mourinho remained unbeaten in 12 Premier League meetings with Arsenal during his managerial career (won five). Wayne Rooney was booked in the fourth minute of added time in the second half.

Comments:

League position: 4th Arsenal's only Premier League away defeat so far in 2016 came at Manchester United in February. The Gunners had now lost only one of their last 22 Premier League games. Olivier Giroud had now scored more Premier League goals as a substitute for Arsenal than any other player (10). Nwankwo Kanu and Nicklas Bendtner had each scored nine. Granit Xhaka was booked in the second minute of added time in the second half.
