Comments:

League position: 1st Had Manchester City won this game, they would have clinched the top division title on the earliest date in a season since the same day in 1956 when Matt Busby's Manchester United beat their nearest challengers Blackpool. The Citizens lost a Premier League game after taking a two-goal lead for the first time since 5 October 2008 against Liverpool. This was the first time that a team managed by Pep Guardiola had conceded three or more goals in consecutive games in all competitions, having lost 3-0 at Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League three days earlier.

Comments:

League position: 2nd Manchester United had now won nine away games in the Premier League after trailing by at least two goals; four more than any other team in the competition. The Red Devils had won one of their preceding ten away games in the Premier League against their big six rivals (lost six) and failed to score in eight of those games. Paul Pogba became the first opposing player to score two goals in the space of two minutes at Manchester City in the Premier League since Robbie Keane for Leeds United on 13 January 2001 at Maine Road.
