Comments:

Manchester City have now had three players sent-off in their three UEFA Champions League games against Barcelona. Sergio Aguero has now scored 11 goals in his last ten UEFA Champions League games. City have now kept only one clean sheet in their 14 home games in the UEFA Champions League.

Comments:

This was the first time that Luis Suarez had scored twice in a game for Barcelona following his move from Liverpool the previous summer. He also became the first player to score twice in the first 30 minutes for Barca in an away game in the UEFA Champions League. Lionel Messi's penalty in added time at the end of the game was saved by Joe Hart. He has now failed to convert 13 of the 57 spot-kicks he had taken for Barcelona and five of the last ten for Barca and Argentina. Barca have now conceded 200 goals in their 200 games in the UEFA Champions League. Only Real Madrid (207) and Manchester United (200) have reached this games milestone.
