League position: 3rd Liverpool were now unbeaten in their last 14 Premier League games at Anfield (won eight). With the opening goal, only George Allan (18 games in 1896), Fred Pagnam (23 games in 1915) and Ronald Orr (24 games in 1909) had now taken fewer games to score their first 20 league goals for Liverpool than Mohamed Salah (25 games). [c/o Ged Rea]. The Reds had now scored inside the opening 20 minutes in six of their last nine home games in the Premier League against their current top six oppenents. They went on to win each of the previous five. This was the first time that Liverpool had conceded two penalties in a Premier League game at Anfield.

League position: 5th After having had his 87th minute penalty saved, Harry Kane then scored his 100th goal in the Premier League in his 141st appearance. Only Alan Shearer (124) reached the 100 goals mark in the competition in fewer games. At 24 years and 191 days, Harry Kane became the fourth youngest player to score 100 goals in the Premier League after Michael Owen (23 years and 133 days), Robbie Fowler (23 years and 282 days) and Wayne Rooney (24 years and 99 days). Tottenham Hotspur's only defeat in their last 15 league and cup games was now at Premier League leaders Manchester City in December 2017. Spurs were now without a win in their last 11 away games against top six opponents in the Premier League (lost six) and have won only one of their 19 such games under manager Mauricio Pochettino (lost 11).
