League position: 3rd This loss ended Liverpool's unbeaten run at Anfield in the Premier League after 17 games since 17 January 2016 (won 11). With the first of Roberto Firmino's two goals, the Reds became the first team to score 50 goals in this Premier League season. This was the first time they had lost at Anfield against a team who started the day at the bottom of the Premier League since 29 December 2010 when Stephen Ward scored the only goal in Wolverhampton Wanderers' victory. Joel Matip replaced Georginio Wijnaldum in the fourth minute of added time in the second-half following the Swansea City substitution.

Jay Fulton replaced Leroy Fer in the fourth minute of added time in the second-half.
