Comments:

League position: 1st Liverpool had now set a new club record of 32 consecutive games in the top division without defeat. The previous record of 31 games was set in March 1988 in League Division One. Jürgen Klopp had now won 100 of his 159 games in the Premier League to create a new club record of reaching 100 league wins in the fewest games; previously Kenny Dalglish in 167 games in League Division One. The Reds became the third team to remain unbeaten and draw only one game in their first 15 games of a season in the top division; also Tottenham Hotspur in League Division One in 1960-61 and Manchester City in the Premier League in 2017-18. Divock Origi had now scored in all four games when he had played against Everton at Anfield.

Comments:

League position: 18th Manager Marco Silva was sacked the following day. He became the first-ever Everton manager to leave after facing Liverpool in his final game in charge. Everton dropped in to the relegation zone after at least 15 games of a Premier League season for the first time since April 1999 after 32 games. This was the second time that the Toffees had conceded four goals in the first-half of a game in the Premier League; also at Arsenal on 3 February 2018. They had now now gone longer without an away win in the Premier League than any other team currently in the division (2-0 at West Ham United on 30 March 2019).
