Comments:

League position: 1st Liverpool had now won their last 22 home games in the Premier League - a new all-time record in the top division. They set the previous record of 21 games from January to December in 1972 in League Division One. On the day he became the 48th player to make 100 appearances for Liverpool in the Premier League, Mohamed Salah became the first player to score 20 or more goals in three consecutive seasons in all competitions for the Reds since Michael Owen in 2002-03. Now needing three wins from their final nine games to ensure they would secure their first top division title since 1990, of the other 19 teams in the division, only Manchester City could now deny Liverpool their first-ever Premier League title.

Comments:

League position: 18th AFC Bournemouth had now lost nine of their last ten away games in the Premier League, including the last six in a row. The Cherries had now kept clean sheets in two of their last 20 games in all competitions. Callum Wilson's goal was the first they had scored in the Premier League against Liverpool since April 2017 to end a run of 17 consecutive goals scored by the Reds in their meetings in the division.
