Zoltan Gera opened the scoring with a powerful drive from outside the box. Nani equalised just before half-time after a Ronaldo assist. Just after half time, Hungary took the lead again through a free kick by Balasz Dzsudzsak which took a cruel deflection off the defensive wall. Cometh the hour, came the man as Ronaldo struck straight back with a brilliant back heel, putting Portugal back in a qualification position and himself in the record books as the first man to ever score at four European Championship finals. Minutes later Dzsudzsak again benefited from a deflection as his shot beat the keeper, putting Hungary back in the lead. Ronaldo (who else?) equalised again from a Ricardo Quaresma cross. Seconds later Hungary hit the post, in what was proving to be the most entertaining match of Euro 2016 so far. After a fantastic game, both teams were delighted with the draw but Portugal finished in third position due to Iceland's last-gasp winner against Austria.
