Victory meant that the Tigers had completed their second league double over Queens Park Rangers. The first was achieved in the space of nine days in October 1963 in League Division Three. Nikica Jelavic’s goal made him the club’s leading all-time Premier League goalscorer with 12 goals, surpassing Geovanni on 11. Dame N'Doye scored the winning goal on his 30th birthday. The Tigers had now won back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since September 2013.
