Comments:

League position: 17th Hull City’s last win over Arsenal was a 2-1 away win in their first Premier League meeting on 27 September 2008. The Tigers' only home league win was a League Division Two 1-0 win on 2 April 1915. Victory would have made it three consecutive wins in the top-flight. It's a feat City had only achieved only once before when they won four in a row in September – October 2008. That streak started with the win at the Emirates (see above). The Tigers had still not won a Premier League that was played in the month of May (drawn three and lost seven) or played on a Monday. This was the first goal that Stephen Quinn had scored in the Premier League since he opened the scoring for Sheffield United in a 1-1 draw with Portsmouth on 13 January 2007. This was the first time that Hull City had trailed by a three-goal margin at half-time in a Premier League game at KC Stadium. The last time it occurred in any competition was against Middlesbrough in the League Championship on 23 April 2011 when Boro led 4-1 at the interval before going on to secure a 4-2 victory.

Comments:

League position: 3rd This was Arsenal’s 200th away win in the Premier League. Arsenal had now scored in all but three of their Premier League matches in this season. They had also now scored 100 goals in all competitions in 2014-15. The Gunners had now not conceded a first half goal in their last 14 Premier League matches. Arsenal had now lost just twice in their last 19 Premier League matches (15 wins) and conceded just 14 goals in those matches. The Premier League’s Goal Accreditation Panel ruled on the following: - Arsenal’s first goal against Hull City on Monday 4th May 2015 has been confirmed as an Alexis Sanchez goal. - Arsenal’s second goal against Hull City on Monday 4th May 2015 has been confirmed as an Aaron Ramsey goal.
